In my previous Blog, I explored why buying a property is about more than just the property itself, and how emotions influence a buyer’s decisions.
This brings me to another question: What is it about a space that makes us feel connected to it?
Have you ever walked into a home and instantly felt comfortable? Or entered a beautifully designed space that looked impressive but didn’t quite feel right?
I find this connection between people and their surroundings fascinating.
A luxury hotel lobby, a peaceful library, a busy marketplace, and a family home each create a different experience. Beyond their appearance, factors such as lighting, layout, proportions, and movement can influence how we experience these spaces.
Environmental psychology, architecture, and interior design offer valuable ways to understand this relationship. Vastu adds another perspective through traditional principles of orientation and spatial planning.
In my work, I believe these perspectives can help us look at properties more thoughtfully not just in terms of how they look, but how they may serve the people who use them.
Because a property may attract a buyer, but understanding the space can help us understand what makes it feel right for them.
As I continue this learning journey, I want to explore how real estate professionals can look beyond the visible features of a property and develop a deeper understanding of the spaces they recommend.
Stay tuned. In the next Blog, we’ll explore another perspective that can help real estate professionals bring greater value to their clients.
